Military Families

Pinnacle Pointe Hospital is TRICARE® approved for acute and residential inpatient care services. We are very committed in treating children and adolescents of military families. The TRICARE® military program offers treatment for ages 5 to 17.
Pinnacle Pointe Hospital is the only TRICARE®-certified residential facility in Arkansas for ages 5-17.
Acute Inpatient Care for Military Dependents: Tricare® Approved
Pinnacle Pointe Hospital offers acute inpatient treatment for children and adolescents ages 5 to 17. Acute inpatient treatment is advised after an assessment is completed and our psychiatrist concludes that the patient’s condition cannot be safely or effectively treated on an outpatient basis. The program is a comprehensive therapeutic, intensive treatment led by a team of highly experienced mental health professionals including psychiatrists, case managers, clinical therapists, certified teachers, registered nurses and recreational therapists.
Acute inpatient care includes:
A therapeutic program with services provided by a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, case managers, licensed clinical therapists, certified teachers, registered nurses and certified recreational therapists.
- Individual/Group/Family therapy: to address issues that may compromise the child’s emotional health and/or safety.
- Educational Services: State Department of Education approved program is administered by licensed certified Special Education teacher and mental health professional. Fully approved school, K-12. Located on-site, the school focuses on preparing the child academically and behaviorally to return to his/her public school or an alternative setting.
- Recreational Therapy: Certified recreational therapists deliver seven days a week program consisting of group and individual activities designed to develop coping skills necessary to function within a community.
- Discharge Planning: Assist patient and family in a referral for follow-up treatment. Community resources are available to maximum and support post-discharge.
- Financial Counseling: We accept Tricare®, most Commercial Insurances and Medicaid. Payment options are available if needed.

Residential Inpatient Care for Military Dependents: Tricare Certified
Pinnacle Pointe Hospital offers residential inpatient treatment for children and adolescents ages 5 to 17 with longstanding emotional and behavioral health issues. Our physician-led residential treatment program addresses children’s entire well being including medical, psychiatric, social and academic needs. The program provides a variety of therapies and activities in a safe, comfortable environment.
Residential treatment includes:
An individualized Master Treatment Plan focuses on the identified behavioral challenges of each patient and is supported by a Levels System that provides social skills to prepare the patient to re-integrate into family and community
- Individual Therapy: Scheduled weekly with onsite therapists; available additionally as needed
- Family Therapy: Scheduled twice monthly unless otherwise specified
- Recreational Therapy: Licensed recreational therapists deliver seven days a week program consisting of group and individual activities designed to develop coping skills necessary to function within a community. Outside activities are utilized in a levels-based program to establish emotional stability and encourage growth
- Global Distance Family Therapy: provided via special arrangements for military families and OP providers to ensure clinical efficacy while minimizing travel time and expense to the family.
- Group Therapy: Conducted by licensed clinical professionals, including therapists and substance abuse counselor supported by a curriculum including:
- Health education
- Anger management
- Conflict resolution
- Day-end goals review
- Discharge planning building/management
- Journaling (take home tool)
- Relationship skills
- Educational Services: State Department of Education approved program is administered by licensed certified Special Education teacher and mental health professional.
- Therapeutic Passes: Passes to assist in successful reintegration following discharge.

- Spiritual Enrichment: Provided weekly for groups and patients have additional interaction with clergy as requested.
- CD Education (Adolescents Only) provided by a CADAC-certified coordinator; includes:
- 12-Step Program
- CD Program – Weekly Individualized Treatment Plan to streamline success through intensity of services, based on patient’s identified level of need for these services.
- Discharge Planning: Assist patient and family in a referral for follow-up treatment. Information on community resources are available to maximum support post-discharge.
- Financial Counseling: We accept Tricare®, most Commercial Insurances and Medicaid. Payment options are available if needed.
