The Lemonade War

The Pointe Day Treatment Center embarked on a special project, an all school book club called One School, One lemonade standBook.  Every family received a copy of the same book – Jacqueline Davies’ The Lemonade War – and we asked that the families read it at home each night as a family activity.

Each morning, a drawing was held for the students that answered the trivia question correctly…it was a very competitive activity!

Each class submitted a secret lemonade recipe and we held an election to choose the best 2 that would be featured at our Lemonade Stand.

The students set up the Mobile Lemonade Stand at Pinnacle Pointe Hospital and 3 Pointe Outpatient Clinics in Central Arkansas.  The staff and students loved it!!!

WE EARNED $500!!  The kids used their reading, vocabulary, comprehension, math, economic, marketing, and social skills to make this project a HUGE SUCCESS!!
